"Just when you thought you had read and seen everything vampire-related, in confidently swaggers Enlightened; Twilight’s bigger, cooler and sexier sister. While Enlightened will most certainly appeal to the Twilight, Hunger Games and 50 Shades of Grey fans, it is certainly no rip-off. Anyone can punch out a formulaic vampire boy/girl story but from the outset it is clear that SJ Jensar had a story buried inside that they could not already find on a bookshelf. It is this need for the tale to be told that sets Enlightened apart from its predecessors. Yes, there are some comforting genre clichés but their clever integration with unexpected plot twists and changing character traits leave you thinking about the story long after you have put it down. My guess is that Enlightened has enough guts, glamour and glory to go well beyond its anticipated 4-book run. I for one can’t wait for the next instalment. Enlightened; Not just another vampire story."

"Well..... What can I say. It is one of THE best books I have read. Brilliantly written, the suspense had me reading at a speed of knots. I was entranced by the female protagonist in the first few pages and the mental image of the characters/scenes are so vivid. The male protagonist has me enamoured beyond belief. I cannot wait for the next one, fans of hunger games, twilight and some HOT character chemistry GET ON BOARD. IT'S AMAZING!!"
